Lori knows that one of the most important functions of our government is to keep the people of Nevada safe and secure so that they can prosper. When our communities are safe, and families in the Silver State are confident that our public safety personnel are principled and dependable, we can thrive together. Lori stands with our law enforcement agencies and recognizes that we must do more to support them such as increasing transparency, investing in training, and providing the resources they deserve. In Carson City, she will fight to:

• Ensure public safety agencies receive the best tools and equipment and upgrades as a matter of course.

• Support increased use of body cameras for police officers.

• Increase transparency of procedures and records for School Police agencies and increase their coordination with mental health resources.

• Increase open records transparency from law enforcement agencies.

• Enact tougher sentences for fentanyl dealers and child sex traffickers.
